The TDFM-9100-T6 is the newest option available in the TDFM-9100. This new adaptation of the TDFM-9100  incorporates Technisonic’ s new T6 module.   Capable of supporting Low Band VHF FM, VOR Voice, Airband  and Military UHF  the T6 module provides a significant new capability to the 9100.  Previously only available in the larger 9200 and 9300 series radios, Technisonic found a way to incorporate the T6 module into the TDFM-9100.

We are very excited about this new offering. The new TDFM-9100-T6 variant is simply the most capable compact All-Band AM-FM Airborne Radio available anywhere. Without modification to the TDFM-9100’s compact dimensions, 3.0” (H), 5.75” (W) and 8.5” (D) or core capabilities, Technisonic can now offer the T6 All-Band analog module as an optional internal transceiver.  The 9100-T6 supports all analog bands, 30 -50MHz, 107.9 – 117.9MHz,  118.00 – 156.00MHz and  225-400MHz. which alone is a huge feat,”  said Jim Huddock, Dir. of Business Development.

Technisonic did not stop there,  but managed to  retain all of the TDFM-9100’s core capabilities and flexibility as well, including support for up to two additional P25 Tri-band capable modules and two MCP ports. Fully-loaded this means the 9100-T6 is scalable up to 5 comm sources,  three internal and two external.

Technically, the new T6 allows for both programming of channels via the newly developed TDP software package, or the operator can choose to program channels such as a tower frequency, with the radio automatically defining the channel as simplex via the FREQ option, support of more complex programming such as setting PL Tones, repeater channels, or programming channel names the operator can choose the FPP option. Of course, the ability to scan and assign appropriate bandwidth spacing, 12.5 kHz, 25 kHz, 8.33 kHz is fully supported by the T6. Technisonic is thrilled about the direction the TDFM line has taken the last few years.  With the full integration of both its T6 All Band analog, and it MCP integration technology, which allows for the quick on-boarding of external radio sources such as Portables, and Satellite, today’s announcement of the 9100-T6 variant is the latest example of Technisonic’s commitment to continuous improvement of its products and services.
