DAS-9000

The DAS-9000 is an all new TDFM-9000 accessory that pairs with the successful TDAP line of audio controllers.  Designed to simplify installation,  the DAS-9000 effectively reduces installation time, complexity and the wire weight associated with the typical mission helicopter communication systems.  

The DAS-9000 utilizes the digital audio connection feature already available in all  MCP capable TDFM-9000 series radios.  This digital capability previously allowed for a simple two-wire connection to a single TDAP-650 audio controller.  With the development of the DAS-9000, the digital two-line connection can be distributed to up to 5 separate TDAP-650 audio controllers.

While audio is carried across the digital line,  The radio still looks for individual Mic and PTT signals.   This requires only basic Mic / Ptt input wiring from the DAS-9000 to the TDFM,  while the TDAP 650 audio panels require only a simple 2-wire digital connection along with a common ground.

Installation simplicity is further enhanced in that Audio position for each module in the TDFM  assigned to all connected TDAP simultaneously via a simple interface found within the maintenance menus of TDFM-9000 series radio itself, No additional hardware or programming is needed.
